There were hundreds of Daylilies at the show, last Saturday, and even more ribbons, but no plants for sale. I had a pleasant conversation with Suzanne Franklin of Jungle Paradise in Dawsonville, and picked up an information slip from Carolyn Rafter, Mountain Meadow Daylilies in Clayton, so I now have two more Daylily growers to visit (as soon as the gas prices go below $2/gallon again - and I'm not kidding!).

The flowers look absolutely gorgeous, Lya. I'm sure you had a marvelous time. Your blog looks so great and reminds me how much I love nature. Every morning I'm walking when it's quiet and cool. I love the sound of the natural world waking up. Gardening is such an amazing form of art, and you are certainly quite good at it. Keep it up, because you and every other gardener out there makes our world a more beautiful place.
How sweet of you to say that! I agree with you on the early morning encounters with nature. It's good to be "a morning person"!
